Audencia secures the renewal of its LUCIE Label !

03 June 2020

Audencia has recently obtained the renewal of its LUCIE Label, a certification of reference in the field of responsible social commitment. Seven years ago, Audencia was the very first higher education institution to obtain this recognition and has continued to renew it since 2016.

Following an extensive audit by an independent expert analyzing commitment to continued progress, LUCIE’s audit committee renewed Audencia’s Label for the next three years.

“According to André Sobczak, Associate Dean for Faculty and Research and head of the CSR Chair at Audencia – “For the past 15 years, our school has been committed to sustainability and CSR, yet it remains primordial to continue improving our actions and integrate emergent issues. The renewal of the LUCIE Label constitutes both a challenge and an important step in this continued process of improvement as it is the result of an in-depth audit by a third party which compares our corporate practices with those of firms from different sectors of activity, and the product of consultation among all teams within the school in order to define new commitments in accordance with the school’s plan of action.”

LUCIE’s audit committee has highlighted:

  • The quality of education, in particular our commitment to continually improve programs, the triple accreditation EQUIS, AACSB, AMBA, as well as pedagogical innovation projects of the school.
  • The focus on health and safety of students, pertaining to school initiatives focusing on the overall well-being of the students. An example of which includes the hiring of a nurse and medical doctor specialized in psychosocial risks and the support for the collective combatting against gender stereotypes.
  • Audencia’s active involvement in the socio-economic development of the region through its partnerships with local firms and institutions.
  • The quality of life of its employees, through the introduction of teleworking in 2017 and the conclusion of a social audit last year.

In the next three years, the school commits to further reducing its environmental impact, the integration of CSR criteria in its purchases and choice of suppliers and service providers.
